A panel entitled “Turkish Republic, Women and Interwar Balkan Politics through the Lences of Womens Periodicals”, organized by Krassimira Daskalova, member of the FE.P.I.B. project, was presented at the International Symposium entitled “The International Symposium on the Centenary of the Turkish Republic: Women of the Republic / The Republic of Women. The Conference was organized by the Women's Library and Information Centre Foundation, and Beykoz University, Istanbul, October 27-29, 2023. The panel members, Katerina Dalakoura, Krassimira Daskalova, Ivana Pantelic and Valentina Mitkova presented the following papers:

1. “Women and Diplomacy: Representations of the Turkish Republic and Turkish Women’s Activity in the Interwar Greek Feminist Periodicals” (Katerina Dalakoura)

3. “(Our New) Muslim Woman”: Reception of Muslim Women in the Yugoslav Interwar Women’s Periodicals: Ženski pokret [Women’s movement], Žena i svet [Woman and the worl]) and Jugoslovenska žena [Yugoslav Woman] (Ivana Pantelic)

4. “Representations of Turkish women during the Kemalist reforms in the 1920s and 1930s in the Bulgarian women's periodicals” (Valentina Mitkova, associate member of FE.P.I.B.).
